No solder required. I just replaced one of mine and it just pops into the socket. Radio Shack is a lot closer for me than dealer and I was able to get a bulb, slightly brighter, and it works fine.

Does anyone know if the rear ashtrays are supposed to light up. Mine have an orange type light looking think in them but I don't think they have ever lit up.


Bulb is 12 V, 1.2 W, just resolder new bulb on existing housing.
