Hey Mike, This is a subject that has been touched on many times. Personally, If you decide to get "any" car, always, always get a prepurchase inspection done. Cars do not fall apart left and right on their own, it takes people who own them to do that. I currently own a 1989 750iL na dI gotta tell you..I Love My Car! Sure it has 172K miles but man can it fly! Have had it since 02/2001 and the only thing that failed was like a $12.00 (U.S.)sensor. I've replaced the brakes, an easy D.I.Y. job. I've driven up to 150mph and it is steady as a rock.(nothing like a 300hp V-12 land rocket) Here's the key: Get a prepurchase inspection done, find out about it's history,i.e. maintenance, towing, accidents, ect. What I found out on mine was that I was the third owned and the previous two owners had everything that needed to be done at 1 Stealer. It even had the Ispection II done right before it was sold! Best in luck whichever you do. Henry 1989 750iL delphin metallic 172K
