Posted by adjustment. All is well now. Thanks! on October 21, 2001 at 11:07:25:

I have had this problem since I bought the car about 2 years ago and can't seem to find a solution. I have looked into everything including power draw under 50 ma, glovebox/trunk lights, the alt charging system, and battery.

I'm curious to know if anyone out there has throughly researched this issue? I researched the nhtsa site and service bulletins. It appears there was some discussion of putting a smaller pulley on the alt to increase the rate of charge on the battery. Has anyone done this and did it help? I'm not sure if this problem correlates to e32's driven mostly in town (i.e. stop and go) or those driven long distances. This seems to be a problem for some e32's and not others.

Thanks,

Victor
