Juan, when I bought my 91 735il, the a/c system was dry (read no cool air). Instead of pulling a vaccumn on it and spending big bucks on R-12, I just bought a 34.95(usd) R-134 re-fit kit and installed it. Obviously the system had a leak and did not want to deal with it at the time. Just slammed the kit and have had a complete summer in South Carolina (read hot!) with no problems. The kit included a can of lube which is important. I understand that there is sealant with R-134 available also. Might be as bad as putting stop leak in a radiator. Purists will tell you I did the wrong thing, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I need to save the money for my drive shaft.

Chuck 91 735il (it's long)

Need to replace my A/C condensor but am planning on converting to R134A in the process. I'm also planning on replacing the dryer at the same time. Has any converted to R134A with good results and where is a good source for these parts?
Thanks very much!
Juan
