I am getting confused with this Pentosin issue... (archive)

where's it used??? In my '92 735i (UK spec RHD with no LAD) the only possible system to use Pentosin is maybe the power steeing? But my power steering reservoir has only the big letters "ZF" marked on the cover and opening it I find red fluid, possibly ATF.

Since my car has been serviced by BMW service only can I safely assume that it uses ATF in the power steering system? It says nothing in the owner's manual (mentions that the "BMW service station will know the correct fluid").
