The ASC message is tied into something else which goes, rather than the ASC, but its been so long ago I can't remember what. But of course, if the ASC and ABS are really not working, then its really weird. So I'm back to hoping its a gremlin that goes away. Trickle charge the battery overnight and pray.
Also, I'd push it hard around the block or a gravel parking lot, engaging the ASC and ABS, assuming they will work.

My car has been parked for a week. When I started it today, I got the ASC light ON. when started driving, the anti lock light came on. What's happening? I tried both my ASC and my ABS brakes and none of them is working.
By the way this board has saved my life many times Thanks guys.
