So describe the difference in the ride of the E38 and the E32. I recall that the difference between my former E23 and the E32 was night and day. So I've been thinking about getting an E38 and am curious.
Thanks,

I'd skip the E32 740 and go right to an E38. They are terrific cars. No nikosil and alumosil problems with the E38 engines, as BMW woke up once again before they were produced. So is the E32 735i a fine, fine car. I have both an '88 E32 735i (210K miles) and a relatively new E38 740iL, and have to say both are really great cars. I agree with the comments on how easy the E32 735 is to maintain, as well as outstanding durability of the engine. Electrics suck. I think I have the best current combo for husband and wife. Guess which car I'm allowed to drive.
