E23 vs E32 Help need feed back JoeC 86 735 (archive)

Looking at an 89 750il w 180k miles. It probably needs a radius & control arm on one side. I'm used to working on E23's 84 733i & currently have an 86 735iA w/ 175k miles. What should I look for on this 89 750il for $$$$ problem areas?? Price is $5500. which I consider is good.There are no cracks on the dash & everything seems to work. A/C,roof,Pw,seats inst.panel.Had it up to 100mph & it felt very loose. It pulls to the left. the brakes have a slight throb. Has new front pads in the trunk. Records are in the glove compartment. It's not cherry but I feel it could be a step up but I don't want to end up in the poor house.I will have it inspected by my mechanic who IS honest and knows BMWs.
