I bought the Sports, thought they were too stiff and bought the new Touring version, which I thought replaced the HD line, but maybe not. Anyway, the Tourings are much like the OEM Boge. Bilstein now manufacture a damper that is stiffer than the Heavy Duty but not as stiff as the Sport. This was in response to complaints that the Sport was too stiff for civilized street use. Haven't had any experience with the newer damper (using Heavy Duty on the '02) but overall Bilsteins are very well made.

From all I've read in the archives both here & on the e34 board, Bilsteins seem to be too stiff, plus I like having the external adjustment on the fronts with the Koni's.
