For those who may experience a similar problem ( all 4 windows not going up ). The problem was resolved by replacing one of the VHS video looking modules under the rear seat ( not the one stuffed with relays, but the other with multi-coloured connectors). Dont know how it got stuffed but suspect rear door switch. It fell out at about the time the windows packed up. Had a very fortunate find...the same year car in the scrap yard up the road. Only the cylinder head was missing., so for £25 i had ever electronic component i could get off..all lock solenoids window switches nearly new heater control module washer pumps etc etc.
