After looking at this little further the box is the seat memory box. After removing two screws and two connectors its out of the way and now I can access the motor as the pics in the instructions illustrate.

My driver's seat has a slight twist to it so I printed the instructions from the archive to fis this typical problem. I've got the seat disconnected from the floor and come to find out its been fixed using the fuel hose approach. My question is how do I get to the motor bolts to loosen them so the cable can be removed from the motor? The electrical black box underneath the seat is in the way. It appears to me that the two pins holding the front of the seat to the track need to be removed so I can tilt the seat back far enough to access the motor. None of the instructions state this step is needed but I can't see any other way to access the motor. Am I missing something?
