I went to change my oil today, and noticed a massive leak at the front of the oil pan. It turns out that the bolts were not even hand tight. I tightened all the ones I could reach (one is stripped). Anyone have a similar experience? Will this fix the leak? Is this normal? I understand the engine has to be removed in order to change the pan gaskets, which I obviously would really like to avoid. Also, it looks as though the previous owner had the gaskets changed about 25K miles ago.
