Was out in the garage bleeding my LAD..kind of a
pain sticking those bags of dirt in the trunk to
load the rear suspension...also had to pull some barbells out the attic..he..he...just took it for
a quick drive..nice and smooth now.
Appreciate your input..want just a hint of an
exhaust note..but don't want the boy racer sound.
Believe its Dinan who will perform the surgery to
a stock system to make it breath better..costs I've heard are high for their work..not sure if
its worth it.
Your opinion therefore is the Supersprint is the
happy medium for sound then?..any recommended/
cost effective Dealers for Supersprint?
Thanks,
George

The Eberspaecher's I put on mine are on the "church quiet" side of the decibel scale. I almost bought the Supersprint but the original mufflers lasted 10 years & decided not to go the extra expense. I forget who does it, but you can get the stock ones that have been cut open & had the baffles redone. That might strike the balance between church quiet & all-out loud Tri-Flo's.

For the 1st 500 miles, the Eberspaecher seem stuffy & was too quiet, but a few high speed extended roadtrips has opened them up quite a bit. They're still quiet at idle with a low rumble. The DME chip changed the mid & high tones & they don't sound or feel stuffy at all anymore, but it still has a turbine-like sound vs. a harsh exhaust tone. To do it again, I'd probably go with the Supersprint's.
