Hi again, Manny... sorry for the delay.

The ETK doesn't seem to specifically lock-out the cat-conv option, but I stand corrected - there is the no O2-sensor front resonator box. I thought all E32s had the sensors and cat converters...

I think the sensor at the top is the oil pressure sender, from vague memory of someone's site on doing somethign with the M30 head - maybe Brunos', at www.bmwe34.net...

Hi Max,

Thanks for your input..

The number is DC15208 (know it off by heart..) and I am 99.9% sure it has no cat/ox sensor.
The NZ new cars belied the clean green image till early 90's by having no anti pollution gear fitted which was great for performance (and economy) but poor for the atmosphere.

I have spent plenty of time under the car prodding and poking, and I know the exhaust has 1 resonator and 2 mufflers with no electroninc attachments.

BTW, there is a sensor of some sort attached to the valve cover just under the coolant expansion tank with a single wire going to it. Any idea what that is?

Manny
