Hi Guys,
Well, I've finally found what I was looking for, a replacement 7 for my written off 730. This time it's an '88 735i ASE, Calypso Red with beige leather. I picked it up quite cheap as it has a few glitches which, in my situation, are too much of a problem (hopefully!!!). Firstly, it has the metric, TRX alloys & tyres, then the steering wheel trim is coming unstitched and the instrument cluster is suffering the famous capacitor problem, resetting trip meter at ignition on, 186,777 instead of 106,777 (MOTs to prove mileage!), and finally, the central locking either needs double locking or unlocking, whatever it decides! Fortunately, I still have my 730 wreck, so I can swap the wheels, steering wheel, c/locking module & even the cluster if I want to (although that had 138K on it at time of impact), but then I can try the cap fix first. I will also be removing as many parts as possible from the 30 to keep as spares, especially things like relays, modules, bulbs etc and anything else that I think maybe useful. So, I may need some advice in the near future if I can't cure the dash problem or the c/locking.
Anyway, it's good to be back!
Paul '88 735i ASE
