Someone actually makes an offer to buy something that you're selling? How rude!! I hope that if I ever sell anything, nobody offers to buy it from me. Those capaitalists have no shame, trying to get the best possible deal and preserve their bank accounts, instead of paying outrageous prices to stimulate our poor economy...after all, only 95% of people who want to work have jobs.

That business about emailing the seller and asking for a quick sale price seems to be in vogue these days on ebay. In the past month, every auction I have run, at least two or three people have done that... to be honest it bugs me. The people who make those solicitations are usually bottom fishers and say things like "I really want this right now, tell me what you will sell for"... I actually emailed a few back and they never even had the courtesy to respond... even made me think it might be an ebay-police operation... in any event, my standard response to these solicitors now is not to respond... but to each his/her own.

Kevin

I bought my 740 on ebay and have been very happy with it. To get the best price, though, do the following:

1. There are currently no bids on it. EMAIL the seller right now and ask what he/she will take for it right now, without waiting for the auction to end in 6 days.

2. If that doesn't work, wait until the last couple of minutes before placing your offer. Even though you can offer a "hidden offer," there are ways to figure out what the highest bid is. So, wait until the last few minutes.

Good luck Denise! I know we are all hoping things will get better for you and the bimmer.

Don't know if this can help but it was just listed. The price looks pretty reasonable.
