I find it unlikely that they are bad. When diagnosing a fuel pump problem, I play with my regulators a lot, thinking they might be the problem. What I concluded was that they are pretty bullet proof. It you have a vacuum pump (brake bleeder etc), you can try hooking it up to the lines on the regulators. High vacuum should give you reduced fuel pressure and you should not see any leaks... that is to say, if you set a vacuum level, it should hold at that level for at least 60 seconds.

I am not sure if mine are due for change but when I enquire it costs about USD130 each. There are 2 to replace.
Is there another way around this expensive problem?
