Make sure all the door lock levers are moving freely in their holes. Mine acts funny when they bind up, its usually the front drivers one.

My 91' 735i is giving me hell by the erratic behaviour of the central locking system. When I pull the lever up to open the the car the central lock opens and suddenly locks again.

When I unlock the car with my key from both front doors, the central lock activates by unlocking and closing down immediately after. What could be the cause of this??!!
