Gale,

Excellent shade-tree writeup and photographs. As you stated at the end of the article, you should not try to replace the bushings in the aluminum lower control arm. These are factory-installed and trying to remove the old bushings or install new ones can deform the arm. It is different for the thrust arm since the primary component of the arm is steel and not aluminum.
