I tested my 1988 750 PCV and they can be blown through both ways. On other cars it is normally only one way. can some one guide us.

Not sure I understand your description, but the valve should pass pressure from the crankcase to the intakes.

Hi. Had a problem with a poorly running -89 750. I pulled the sparkplugs and saw the worst case of carbon ever. The plugs was changed by former owner a half year ago. ( Maybe why he sold it ...)? I´ve also noticed that it consumes lots of oil. After reading the archives in this forum I suspected the pcv valves. Right ? Now some strange stuff. The engine runs quite fine now, taking of the oilfillercap does nothing. No change in rpm, no vacuum, no blowing. Nothing. Testing the pcv´s makes me wonder if I´m thinking right: If I try to blow in the end of the valve that fits in the large rubberhose between airflowmeter and valve the pcv blocks, if I suck it lets air through. Isn´t this the wrong direction or is it me ? Both pcv´s work the same way.
Any advise ?
