I have posted several times trying to resolve the problem of the trip OD resetting and chiming when the car is shut down. Also from time to time the LCD screen for the message readout in the cluster would glow after shutting the car down. Out of frustration, eight days ago I disconnected the connector on the chime coming from the cluster and all problems with the cluster have gone away. Now I have no chime from the cluster but so what. Still need to determine why unplugging the chime resolved the cluster problems. Is it a bad chime module or bad ground or something else.

Thanks,
Mark Dorr
