BMW part number for V12 emblem (archive)

I got 2 responses to my follow-up question about where to get the V-12 emblem - one from the car owner who said the back one is from a newer BMW and the side ones are Mercedes. I also got an e-mail from someone who provided the BMW part number (51 14 8 175 817) which is supposed to be the part# for the emblem on the back of the car. I was told that the emblem is apparently used in some markets on newer BMW V-12 models. The emblem costs about $17 per Pacific BMW.


That V12 emblem reminds me of one I've seen on a Mercedes Benz CL600
