vent size and inflator output is taylored precisedly to each model car..that applies to
all different cars...don't want to but the more
aggessive E-36 airbag in an E-32..a quick reason
why..E-36 is much smaller car than E-32...that
means it has a harsher crash pulse, i.e. less
energy management per unit time..less time for surrounding metal to absorb crash energy therefore you need an airbag sooner or more aggressive inflator output. That's a thumbnail of why..you should be able to find an E-32 airbag without too much trouble.

I have an 88 735i and the airbag was blown out. I was wondering if a steering wheel off of an e36 would fit on the column or if the airbags are teh same. If anyone knows please let me know Thanks MIke J
