I own a 89 750il that suddendly lost power to one side and then had multiple fuel line leaks around the engine. I have spent the last two days changing hoses that are impossible to get to, but I did it. I replaced the fuel pumps last month (with used fuel pumps) do to the number(2) fuel pump not working. When this happen the last time, I discovered that the fuel line hose inside of the sender unit came off inside? Why would this happen , I ask myself? I then put in the new(used pumps) and my problems were over. A month later here we go again. Only this time I replaced one fuel pressure regulator repaired or replaced craked hoses. do you think my fuel pumps are bad again? Now the car will not even start to idle. Is there a way to test fuel pumps when they are not in the gas tank? I love the car but i am reaching my end! Help Please...
