Scroll down to the bottom of the page for e32's. Some models vary depending on year. The dealer can verify if it's a limited slip by the VIN, or you can crawl under the diff & read the tag on the left rear of the cover. If the ratio is a 3.15 & it's limited slip, the tag will be marked "S 3,15". You can also tell if it's limited slip by chocking the front wheels & jacking up one of the rear wheels with the trans in neutral & the parking brake released. If it has a limited slip, it will take about 100 or more ft-lb. to rotate the rear wheel. If it spins freely, then it's an "open" or non-limited slip diff. Also, with both rear wheels off the ground, with a limited slip they will both rotate in the same direction, with an open diff, they will rotate in opposite directions.gale

4.27 limited slip
