Definitely don't go to a dealer, but if you have a mechanic on the side that you trust, I'd suggest getting the whole driveshaft and center bearing re-done. While the shaft is off they need to replace the back tranny mounts.

I've NEVER come across a success story where someone just replaced the center bearing. I've been told that they fail not only due to age, but because the shaft is out of balance, or one of the U-joints hangs on part of its rotation putting too much pressure on the center bearing.

The leak needs to be identified. It could be anything. If it's reddish and thinner than motor oil, it's probably tranny fluid
