I experienced the same heart attack last year. Make sure the cooling lines to and from the radiator are tight at the transmission connection ports. Common for these to get loose and make messes.


I think you're seeing the torque converter when you look through the mesh. If the leak really is ATF and really is coming out of that mesh, you may need to limp it to a mechanic...blown seal around the TC maybe.
