Man, I feel better already - THANKS guys! (archive)

Yesterday I started up the car (89 750iL) and backed out of the garage to lubricate all the rubbers. When I moved the car back into the garage it had left a puddle of what looks to be ATF in the driveway. Here are some facts:
1. I am less than a repair novice.
2. I have had zero transmission problems. The car has been running like a dream.
3. The leak appears to be ATF not Petosin.
4. The leak comes from an area on bottom of tranmission where there is an OPEN plastic mesh-like cover. When I look up through said open mesh-like cover, I can see gears.
5. There is a leak only when the car is running. When I shut it off, it stops leaking.
Any thoughts or suggestions. Help would be most appreciated.
