May I ask what is good price for new pads and rotors including installation, and if you have any recomendations where to take 750 in Southern California for break service?

there is nothing, and I mean nothing, special about the e32 brake system when it comes to pads and rotors. if anything, the sealed front bearings make the job simpler and less messy than normal (no wheel bearings, grease and seals to mess with). Any competent brake shop can do it; bmw specialist not necessary; use someone you trust. Only warnings are (1) use OEM organic pads, not "lifetime" aftermarket metalic pads as they eat rotors, (2) forget turning the rotors, as they were too thin to begin with and will warp for sure after being turned, and (3) get new rotors off the net, such as from megaparts.com, as many local suppliers charge ridiculous markups 'cause its a bmw and they figure you'll pay it without asking questions. New e32 rotors are cheaper than the rotors for my chevy 4x4. about $60ea for the fronts and 35ea for the rears. pads are equally reasonable.
