Jesse, what exactly are you asking here? There's a million reasons why you get the check engine light & a thousand reasons for each specific code.

We have to follow a "logic tree" here.

Help me (and you) out. First, what's the exact code the CE light reads out. And also, most importantly, what drivability problems do you experience. Be specific. Only at idle (no foot on gas al all), light accel, heavy accel, in stop & go traffic, smoke, only when cold/hot. etc... You get the idea.

Give me (and the board) more specific info & we'll see what we can do. These engines are complex & diagnosis requires specific info.

Please provide info & we'll do our best to help!


I've read the archieves, read Bentleys on the O2 sensor. Remove the exhaust or not. Replace the sensor or not, cut the wires or buy the special tools.
