"To open the doors if the car's electrical system fails, pull up the door handle and turn the key beyond the point of initial resistance to the end position. To lock again, turn the key over the unlock inhibit function and the point of initial resistance. NOTE: If one of the safety catch buttons of the front doors does not move down when locking, this door was opened by means of the emergency function. In this case the car has to be locked as mentioned before."
It's gonna seem like you'll break off the key, but it will work. If one door seems too tough, try the other.

Could someone tell me how to unlock the door on my 1988 e32? I know the owner's manual explains how to do it, but the manual is in the car.

The battery is only 9 months old, and it discharged completely over two to three hours. When I tried to start it first, everything seemed fine except the engine did not start due to insufficient cranking power. I suppose it's not a defective battery, but there could be a bad grounding somewhere. Where should I check first?

Thanks in advance
