Hi

I know this may sound silly, but try just whacking the right side of the "hump" part of the dash. I have done this a couple of times a few months ago and have had no problems since. I realize it's temporary, but what the heck! I recall reading a few months ago about others that have "fixed" this problem in this way.

Good luck

When I turn on the key, the message board glows very light orange. I can faintly see the "fasten seat belts" message, which changes to "washer fluid low" after several seconds, accompanied by the chimes. The odometer, inspection, message area, and the "E" and "P" lights are all just barely visible, and appear as a slightly darker area of the light orange background. I believe it should be bright orange letters on a black background. Any ideas? Capacitors or bulbs? Thanks much !
