Help- still with out full power 89- 750il (archive)

Several Weeks ago I lost power ans assumed that it was either the fuel pumps and or fuel pressure regulators. I have replaced all componebts at this time. I also checked the relays by interchanging them to the working side. At this point, I am thinking something electrical. Also, when this intially happen, I did see a little smoke coming in on the passenger side with the smell of something electricl burning. I notoce that the passenger side of the engine seems cold to the touch. Morover, the car has little power and will cut off from time to time. Any ideas? also the fuel filters were replaced a month and a half ago. Any ideas?
