Hi George,

No, have not yet replaced the driveshaft. Ordered a rebuilt unit with greasable u-joints but the front tube had a weld seam midway down the tube. Found out that the front section from two different driveshafts had been welded together. Despite guarantee from seller, was not happy so I returned the driveshaft.

This weekend re-installing alternator, replacing air flow meter and all rubber hoses, and replacing instrument cluster lamps.

How about you?

Alex

your project..and congrats on your opportunity
to indulge your passion..wife being out of town that is..he..he.
While on the subject, since you and I and many
board members have had these cars all apart..I
love the design of the belt tensioners ..what attention to detail..never seen any
thing else like it. Believe the reason that many
just don't get why Bimmers are so great..my g/f
for example, is you have to be a gearhead to see the beauty.
Best Regards,
George
