to forest89,regard sun shade, very easy to fix sun shade, remove shelf from car prise out the shade from the shelf with screwdriver, both ends of shade have plastic covers with metal pins.remove end cap tension shade then replace with screws.where pins go then reassemble.

alistair, thanks for response.I have the shelf out and have drilled the rivets on the end that has the center rod exposed. I cannot remove it unless I extract the whole unit from shelf??? It is glued in with some black substance that appears to be silicone. Should I cut the silicone and remove the whole unit from shelf? I am not sure how to remove as the end caps have a lip as well as the whole roller assembly has a two lips that hold it in. More info please...TIA Forrest
