differential for these cars..don't think it's
that..particularly if your speedometer is functioning as it should. Follow the advice I gave
to Bill, one post below...may solve your problem.
Sounds like your trans is not properly assessing
what gear you are in. Hopefully, your problem
is electrical not mechanical like a clogged valve
body for example.
Good Luck,
George
90 735il/145k

When decelerating my 735 jerks
It starts decelerating fine until the RPM reaches 1500 the tranny shifts
Down to the next lower gear and then the RPM jump up a bit and then the tranny shift up a gear this gose on until my speed I is so low that the RPM are lower then
I think that the tranny should down shift at around 950 RPM and shoud not shift up until
2000 or so?
And dose this point to a bad speed sensor in the tranny?
And now the problem is
I lost my P N R they are 3rd now but D 3 2 1 work fine my BMW starts fine in park
But trys to drive off !?
But as soon as I shutoff the engeine it jumps into park
Can my 735 I think it moving down the freeway at 1100mph and that’s why
It won’t shit into R N P?
