I don't read the e38 site so can't comment on that, but this site has already provided me a lot of help on my restoration project in the month or so that I have been here. Many thanks to all who post answers! Wish we all lived close enough to have a weekend convention of E32 owners around the country, that would be a blast!



I can't help but notice a real interesting difference in the quality of these two sites, as I have both an E32 and E38 to care for. This E32 site has some really experienced, insightful BMW owners who work hard to keep their cars in top shape and have developed considerable technical expertise. The E38 site has little of that, mainly gripes about dealers and irrelevent philosophical discussions about BMW ownership. I guess in 10 years, that site will mature through necessity, the same as this one has. On the other hand, both models are outstanding autos, the difference is mainly in the owner's experience. I'm truly grateful for all the technical interchange available here, and want to express that to all. Bob H.
