O2 Sensors (archive)

I decided to change O2 sensors on my 89 750. I see in one of my manuals that each sensor goes on a specific side and not to mix them up. the old ones I took out of my car were both the same (previous owner) so I cannot tell which is the left and which is the right.

the new ones have different colored plastic harness connectors (black or gray)and one has a red dot on the sensor itself (Bosch).

Anyone know which is which--left side vs right?

BTW changing them is a pain but once I lowered the back of the exhaust there was just enough room to maneuver them out.
