Thanks for your help. I don't think the problem is mechanical. I don't hear the door solenoid/actuator move when I use the remote locks. Oh well, I wasn't expecting a sure fire 1minute fix,just hoping. Time to give my father in-law a call and book his shop for next weekend. No worries about leaving the car unlocked, any thief who dares this cold to get my factory stereo deserves to keep it.
