the cultural differences associated with each model/message board. Newbies with their E-46's
and E-39's for example are into the cosmetic stuff but rarely into the deep mechanical issues..don't have to be..yet.
Reminds me of the relationship the E-32 has the
beautiful E-23..E-23 disciples are a pretty loyal
bunch.
Some would argue that the true BMW purists are the 2002 guys..hey Alex you out there?

I can't help but notice a real interesting difference in the quality of these two sites, as I have both an E32 and E38 to care for. This E32 site has some really experienced, insightful BMW owners who work hard to keep their cars in top shape and have developed considerable technical expertise. The E38 site has little of that, mainly gripes about dealers and irrelevent philosophical discussions about BMW ownership. I guess in 10 years, that site will mature through necessity, the same as this one has. On the other hand, both models are outstanding autos, the difference is mainly in the owner's experience. I'm truly grateful for all the technical interchange available here, and want to express that to all. Bob H.
