Well, I had my leaky valve covers fixed. While the valve covers and intake manifold were off the car, I had them powderpainted. The valve covers and intake manifold were powdercoated black. The heatsink fins and "BMW" letters on the intake manifold were then polished to a high gloss silver. The parts turned out very nice! I also purchased a new intake manifold cover from Bekker's. The engine bay looks really nice now! If anyone is interested, I have several pics that I can email out. If anyone wants to post them for me, I would really appreciate it. I have a pics of the engine bay one year ago (a month or so after I bought the car), I have a few pics of the parts after they were powdercoated, and I have a few pics of the engine bay with the parts all installed. If anyone is thinking about doing this, I highly recommend it. It cost me right at $500 for the new intake manifold cover and powdercoating the four original parts. I figured I was already spending a good chunk of change to take care of the leaky valve covers, so I might as well feel better about spending the money and make everything look nicer. :)
