Ditto. I'll add that when I changed out my plugs two weeks after I bought the car, I also did a compression test while each plug was out. It made for a day-long weekend job but I identified two cylinders having finicky compression (and led to a big engine project not to elaborate here). I also measured the resistance of each cable and see if they are within spec outlined in Bentley. A really good introduction to the 750 with some twenty cuts in my hands hence my subject title above.
Another consideration is that the 5th and 6th plugs on the driver side are so difficult to change out that the mechanics might just leave them unchanged. Or they'll push too hard against the brake fluid reservoir to cause fluid leak after you get the car back.

I have bought new plugs for my '89 750iL and was going ot change them myself (135,000). A local bimmer mechanic said that we would change them out for me for $130 in labor (2hrs) (using my plugs). Is that a respectable price?
