Except my mom used the heat activated transfer patches (iron-ons) instead of the rewoven thread types, (sew-ons) because she hadn't mastered the needle and thread thing.

Nowadays when my kids get an unplanned stain on their jeans they want to go to Abercrombie to get new jeans which are already worn, threadbare, and stained. Go figure.
