I used to live in Vancouver (now in Alberta). I remember 92 Octane. The Chevron website shows they have 94 octane now available if that turns your crank.

Keep in mind that typically you don't want any more octane than you need (all other things being equal, like fuel purity and other additives). Octane is only a knock reducer, not a performance booster. It only boosts performance if running a lower octane fuel would cause pinging (and ignition retard) or pinging, detonation, and eventually some form of engine damage in an engine without a knock sensor.

Taking a trip up to B.C. next weekend and I just have a couple of simple (maybe stupid) questions:
1) Do they have the same octane ratings as in US?
2) Self-serve? (We get to pump our own in Washington)
3) Currently run Chevron 92 octane, do they have same?
Thanks a lot! Also this will be my first long trip with my 89' 735i (~560 miles to Canada) pretty excited to get the cruiser on the open road.
Thanks again, David
