0) calm down - things happen, you'll find it
1) engine temp sensor
2) O2 sensor wiring - no melts, shorts, open curcuits
3) adapted behaviour - power-off the DME to reset any limp-along behaviour it's had to learn off the old sensor
4) any engine codes to be gotten out (stomp test?)
5) bad new O2 sensor - check the voltage at full temp, shoud be reading normal for a good one

... then worry that it's something really rare, OK?

Max

When the engine is cold, car runs very well and good power. As soon as engine warms up, engine feels with no power sporadically??!!!!. So I said, simple!, change O2 sensor. SEnsor changed and same!!!. no messages on board, checked sensor electrically ok!!. Erratic only after warms up, temperature sensors seems ok, neddle right in center, no overheating or engine misfiring notice?. this is rare.
Any help guys? could it be injectors? why only when warm??.
Does the idle valve could cause this after warms up?. or the Air flow sensor?
Any suggestions? 735i, 1988
