Hello all,
Recently, I bought a '90 750iL used. Everything runs great. I've already done a few repairs on it. One thing I couldn't fix (so far) is the rear suspension. There's no bounce when I press on the trunk, and the ride is bumpier than on my 525i. I've already replaced the shocks, but I noticed something weird. The pentosin I bought from the dealer was green, and the fluid in the reservoir was pink. Could someone have put brake fluid or something else in there, and if so, what would it take to flush it out? Could it have done enough damage to require replacing all the lines and (hopefully not) the LAD regulator valve? I measured the ride height and it conformed to the height in the Bentley manual, but it's still bumpy. I'll try replacing the springs next, but that oil color concerns me. Could it be rust? Would I have to replace my new shocks? Any advice will help. Thanks.
