Sounds like someone has put tranny fluid in with your pentosin. All pentosin 7.1 that I have seen is green. I would purge the whole system and replace the pentosin, which may not be as easy as it sounds. Getting the old fluid out of the shocks may require removing the units and the springs to get the old fluid out.
