Sorry, but I'm just too cynical... I remember too clearly my first digital ham radio set. CPU was critical, but no diagnostics but the factory swap-in/swap-out. I know we've got the DME etc on the E32, but that's a fairly simple, standalone unit. I-Drive is so complex I'm wondering when the first virus will come out for it - and it's all "stateful" as we computer techies say - it REMEMBERS, long term. No simple power-off & it resets... seriously, where's the Zip drive to save all your configs? Who's going to bother saving all the 715 settings into their key-fob just to spend days to re-enter them if you lose your keys? Some of the tech is probably good - eg valve-tronic, but it's a big capital gamble for any private buyer, IMHO. Even fleet-lease I'd make sure there was an exit-on-inoperability clause.
Max
