While tracing the wear sensor lines from the left front brake, i found coolant leaking (DAMN I hate this car sometimes) from the underside of the aux. coolant pump. Is this an indication that it is about to fail? Or could a leak from here be heater-valve related? The Bentley is not very specific. Thanks again for any input.

Bridge, i recently replaced my heater valve 88 735i and noticed that my aux coolant pump had corrosion which suggested that my aux coolant pump is leaking. I replace the heat valve due to intermittent heat loss and I had hoped my leak would be cured as well but my leak source is the aux. coolant pump. I have noticed small spots for about a month. After looking at the pump I would guess that it shouldn't burst open but just leak slightly. i don't know if anyone has tried to reseal the pump. I suppose i will change it when I have the time. mike
