To Quote a famous Film "You been ridin' the Rotors like an Old Lady!!"(GONE IN 6O SECONDS!)

Joking aside, you can Bypass the sensor by connecting the wires AFTER the plug, this tells the Computer that the Brakes are AOK. I say after the plug because before the plug neutralises the sensor warning and means a major wiring job!!!
I've done this in the past due to being short of funds, Not adverse effect was caused. It can happen by the wire coming adrift and being severed by the Rotor.

I replaced the front pads 4000 miles ago...and yesterday, BINGO...."BRAKE LININGS" message accompanied by a high-speed grinding from the front brakes. Is this possible? Could it be that something wasn't installed correctly or that a caliper has been dragging? If I recall, there is only a wear sensor on the left brake...so the problem (if any) would be on that side, right?

While on the subject, is there any way to get rid of that annoying GONG and "BRAKE LININGS" message in the mean time?

Thanks for any input.
